About Dr. Blue

Founder and owner of Neurological Services of Texas, P.A., Dr. Susan Blue is truly a Renaissance woman. She received a degree in mathematics as a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Virginia where she completed her college courses in three years. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she has also completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular disease. Dr. Blue has been practicing in Fort Worth since the completion of her education and training.

In addition to her practice, Dr. Blue has participated in professional organizations. She served as President of Tarrant County Medical Society, and President of Texas Neurological Society. She held leadership roles in The Bridge Association Emergency Youth Shelter, The Women’s Center, Circle Theatre, and Women’s Policy Forum. She served two terms on the Board of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Blue is a Trustee at Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina and a member of the Fort Worth Mayor’s Advisory Council for the Homeless. She was a member of the Governance and Finance Work Group for the Texas Health Services Authority, which is charged with implementation of a statewide health information system. Dr. Blue also participates in the Practice Management Council for Texas Medical Association.

On a personal level, Dr. Blue enjoys snow skiing, swimming, fine arts and travel. She is a certified scuba diver with certifications in night diving and wreck diving. She enjoys time with her three daughters and her three grandchildren.
